Rotherham's Riverside Way Services is gearing up for an exciting new chapter as it begins recruiting for a range of positions at its upcoming outlet. The site, located at the Ickles roundabout, is part of a major redevelopment project led by Euro Garages Limited (EG), set to open in 2025.
Originally a 9,000 sq ft car showroom, the space is being transformed into a modern petrol station, complete with a retail store, three food-to-go units, and a standalone coffee shop with a drive-thru. The development, which received planning approval in 2023, will be operated by EG On The Move, a leading UK convenience retailer.
Recruitment has now begun for the site, which has been vacant since Burrows moved out to Wickersley. Among the businesses set to open at Riverside Way are popular names like Chaiiwala and Sbarro, both of which are already hiring.
Chaiiwala, known for its authentic Indian chai and vibrant street food menu, is looking to hire a manager, assistant manager, and supervisor. Chaiiwala's menu includes favorites like Karak Chaii, Chaii Latte, and a variety of street food such as desi breakfasts and butter chicken rolls.
Sbarro, the global pizza brand, is seeking a store manager and team leader. Their menu features an assortment of pizzas, including their signature cheese and tomato, pepperoni, and Firecracker Chicken pizzas, along with sides like garlic breadsticks and tempting desserts.
In addition to these exciting food outlets, Greggs and Subway are also recruiting for staff, adding to the growing list of employers at the site.
Further development in the area includes a planned Starbucks, as well as additional food and beverage units, set to occupy spaces near the River Don. Local development firm Primesite has already secured planning approval for these additions, which are expected to enhance the area's commercial offering.
As the Riverside Way Services continues to take shape, more job opportunities are anticipated, providing local residents with a range of roles across various sectors. This development promises to bring a dynamic mix of dining, retail, and convenience options to the area, while boosting employment in the region.
